New on SI: Third Time is a Charm: Ravens vs Steelers Will Finally Take Place Wednesday Afternoon

Ravens vs Steelers set for Wednesday afternoon After a third postponement, the Baltimore Ravens will finally face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Wednesday. The game which was originally scheduled for Thanksgiving night was pushed to Tuesday and now to Wednesday due to a COIVD-19 outbreak in Baltimore's organization. The Pittsburgh Steelers took to social media sharing their frustration after their primetime spot was taken away on Thanksgiving. The game that has been moved to Wednesday is now interfering with the annual Rockefeller Christmas tree lighting and is set for the afternoon. This delay does allow running backs Mark Ingram and J.K Dobbins to play however the Ravens will be missing 12 active players, including MVP Lamar Jackson. Sports Illustrated host Kaitlin O'Toole is joined by Noah Strackbeinfrom AllSteelers and Todd Karpovich from Raven Country for insight.

New on SI: MAQB: Ravens–Steelers Move to Wednesday Causes Cascade of Schedule Changes

Week 12 will now extend into Wednesday, meaning three prime time games early next week as the NFL tries to keep the season on track to finish in 17 weeks. Our weekly Monday afternoon/evening news and notes, following what has been quite a different 24 hours in the NFL … • So in case you’ve been offline all day, Ravens–Steelers (originally scheduled for Thanksgiving night) will be played Wednesday , which has necessitated moving two more games with Steelers–Washington (initially scheduled for Sunday) being moved to Monday and Ravens–Cowboys (initially scheduled for this coming Thursday) sliding over to Tuesday. Which means we’ll have three games early next week, including a Monday double-header. And the late game on Monday, Niners–Bills, has been moved to Arizona, because San Francisco can no longer play home games under new Santa Clara County rules on contact sports. Got all that? Oh, and by the way, NFL officials believe this week will be worse than last week from a COVID-19 pers...

New on SI: NFL Week 12 Betting Breakdown Seahawks vs. Eagles Odds, Props, ATS Plays and More

Normally reserved for SI PRO members, SI Gambling Insider Frankie Taddeo breaks down the betting options for Seahawks vs. Eagles, including a "Vegas Whispers" free play. It was once again one-sided week in the world of NFL betting, as sportsbooks around the country once again got the best of public bettors led by five straight-up upsets.  The biggest of the swings that helped the oddsmakers was the 49ers (+5.5), Patriots (+1.5) and Panthers (+3) upset victories over the Rams, Cardinals and Vikings, respectively. In addition, the sportsbooks pounded NFL bettors in Week 12 when the New York Giants (-6.5), Cleveland Browns (-7) and Kansas City Chiefs (-3.5) burned many square bettors. While all three came out on the winning side, they failed to cover against the spread. Favorites found a way to get the job done going 7-5 SU, but underdogs ruled the day going 8-4 ATS enabling an easy fifth consecutive lucrative NFL Sunday for sportsbooks. The Vegas Whispers sharps, shared he...

New on SI: Baker Mayfield Has One of the Best Takes on Milk That You'll Ever Hear: TRAINA THOUGHTS

Baker Mayfield channels Ron Swanson while discussing things he hates 1 . The Browns beat the Jaguars on Sunday to improve to 8–3, but Baker Mayfield was hardly satisfied.  In his postgame comments following the 27–25 victory, the quarterback expressed frustration with missing some throws. While doing so, he verbally assaulted skim milk, and it was wonderful. Skim milk is vile, and Mayfield's words were refreshing and important. "I really feel like we left a lot of points on the board," he said. "I truly do. There was a ton of missed opportunities from my perspective. A lot of missed throws. There's two things I hate more than missing throws and it's lying and skim milk, and skim milk is just water lying about being milk. So gotta make those throws." As I just finished writing that Baker should be applauded for pointing this out, I saw this is actually a Park and Rec reference. So now I'll just thank Baker for bringing this take to ligh...

New on SI: Did the NFL Handle the Broncos Situation Correctly?

The Denver Broncos were forced to play practice squad wide receiver Kendall Hinton at quarterback Sunday after all of their active QBs violated the NFL's Covid-19 protocols. Which led to safety Kareem Jackson wondering if an example was made of the team in not moving the game. So, did the league handle this situation correctly? Sports Illustrated host Robin Lundberg and SI fantasy and gambling analyst Bill Enright discussed.

New on SI: Did Adam Gase Get Caught Lying About Taking Over Control of the Jets’ Play-Calling?

The Jets coach had a testy exchange with reporters after claiming he hadn’t taken back play-calling duties. Who’s to blame for the Jets’ lousy offense? At this point in the season, it’s difficult to come up with more ways to describe just how bad the Jets are. They stink to high heaven. They’re dead last in points scored per game (by a margin of 5.2 points) and fourth-worst in points allowed. They’re a joke.  The offensive ineptitude is especially galling, considering coach Adam Gase’s reputation as a quarterback whisperer. He was brought in to nurture No. 3 draft pick Sam Darnold’s talents, just like he did with, uh ... Ryan Tannehill?  After the Jets dropped their first six games of the season, Gase turned the play-calling duties over to offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains. In last week’s game against the Chargers, it looked like Gase had resumed control of the play-calling, though. He could be seen on the broadcast looking at his play sheet and talking into his head ...

New on SI: Life on the NFL’s Chain Gangs

They’ve been around for a century, and it doesn’t appear new technology will wipe them out. The who, how and why of the NFL’s chain crews. As Washington and Dallas slogged through the final minutes of a rain-soaked third quarter at fanless FedEx Field, there was little drama to be found. Neither team had scored since halftime, Washington was winning by 19, and the Cowboys, down to their third-string quarterback, were punting from their own 31 to end a fifth straight empty possession. Then calamity struck. “Oh, f---,” Mark Ingrao said, “We have a problem.” It happened along the Washington sideline, around the start of the television timeout. Ingrao and crewmate Jennifer Hein were busy dodging the usual change-of-possession foot traffic, heading to set up for the next drive. Neither of them saw the culprit, but a player’s cleat had stomped on the chain near the base of Hein’s measuring stick and snapped it. Now, they were hit with the sobering realization that Ingrao was dragging 10...
